• verify in the OPAC , that the book exists in the MUAS Library and is available for borrowing
• send all the required personal address and order information per email ('Direktbestellung’ should be entered as the subject).

Please include all of the following information:

• FIRST name LAST name
• Address (Street, House No., Postcode, City)
• If you have a different billing address, please include the information
• Telephone No. (if applicable, the fax number)
• Email Address
• Library User Number for the MUAS Library

Please include all of the following information:

• Author (some cases, editor)
• Title
• Edition
• Name of publisher, year of publication, place of publication
• Library Shelf mark (Call Number)

The order will be sent out as soon as possible. Additional information:

• delivery for books - approx. 3-4 working days (if it is from a branch library, then it could take a little longer)
• costs determined by the method of delivery

We will notify you by post, email or by telephone if we cannot fulfill your order.

With your order, you expressly agree to comply with the delivery, payment and terms of use laid down by the Munich University of Applied Sciences Library.

The following materials cannot be ordered:

• DIN Standards (including copies), designated exemplars, reference works, loose-leaf editions and audio visual materials
• copy of a thesis is only possible with approval
• books from other libraries, through our Interlibrary Loan Service (you need to collect them at the designated branch library)

The loan period for borrowing books is 4 weeks and for bound journals 2 weeks. Enclosed with the order is a paper stating all the important information. By the return date, you need to either return the item to the MUAS Library or renew the loan period otherwise you will receive an overdue notice. see > Overdue Fines and > Regulations and Data Protection

You can return the books in person to the HM Library or send them back by post. The return shipment is at your expense.

It is possible to renew the loan period for a book unless otherwise stated. If a reserve has been placed on the item by a different user, the library will send a notification, and you will need to return the book by the current return date. Unfortunately, bound journals cannot be renewed.

When the billing address is different to your own, for example, to a business or organisation, we require you to send confirmation from the organisation. It must be provided on official letterhead and show that you have signatory authority, or expressly agree to comply with the payment terms of the Munich University of Applied Sciences Library.

For faster handling, you can send the letter as a fax to the number: 089/1265 1187, but in order to dispatch your order we need to have the original copy sent via post.

Payment for your completed order will be sent as a statement. Please pay immediately (up to 14 days) on the specified account, as a bank transfer, and include the processing code/invoice no. with your payment.

Payment by check, bank deposit or credit card is not possible.

• You are solely responsible for compliance with the copyrights of the materials and other rights associated with the materials. The delivered document may not be neither for payment nor for free, and neither in paper form nor as an electronic copy, be distributed.
