Studying and Services

All three libraries provide lockers for storing backpacks, laptop cases, and bags.

The lockers are to be used only during library opening hours and need to be cleared by the end of the day, otherwise, library staff will collect the items.

Central Library

Central Library has two different locker systems: Legic and PIN-Code. Some of the lockers are allocated as permanent lockers .

Branch Library Karlstrasse

With a deposit, you are given a key to a locker.

Branch Library Pasing

Branch Pasing has both PIN-Code lockers and €2 coin/key lockers

The library is not responsible for any damages to items brought into the library or for lost items.

Each MUAS Library provides a quiet environment conducive to student learning. Please be mindful of the following rules:

  • be respectful and keep the library space and study areas quiet
  • smoking is prohibited
  • eating is not allowed
  • only drinks with reclosable caps are allowed in the library
  • use mobile phones outside the library

These instructions must be followed. Library staff enforces the points above. On evenings until 24:00 and on weekends, an external security company takes over the execution of these rules.

Wireless access to the campus network is available in all three libraries.

  • VPN: To use this service it is necessary to have VPN-Client from the Leibniz-Rechen Zentrum and the required authentication (normally 'accountname@hm.edu'). For further information, please visit the IT Services web page.
  • eduroam: with 'eduroam' there is no direct access to our electronic resources, unless with ezAccess
  • BayernWLAN: free Internet connection, there is no direct access to our electronic resources, unless with ezAccess

Useful information:

  • all three libraries have a b&w or colour scanner
  • books, journal articles, and documents up to a DIN A2 format can be scanned
  • scans savable on a USB stick or memory card, in PDF, TIF or JPG formats
  • max. 300 ppi resolution (600 ppi optional) with a scan speed of 1 second
  • scanners are free to use

  • Branch Library Pasing: in the 'copy room'

The Learning Centre (Lernzentrum) on Lothstrasse offers learning courses, in additional to open tutor sessions. (Webpage is in German Only)
